Bonita Bay Party

Forty guests dressed up creatively for the 3 hour 50’s Cocktail Party in March. This was the second time the host had Fine Cuisines at her home. Distinctive Affairs passed Avocado Crab Canapés, Italian Shrimp Cocktail, Kentucky Colonel Croquettes, Tai Chicken Meatballs. During the last hour a display of heavier sandwich items were added to the buffet and included Pulled Pork on Rye Squares,
Chicken Salad in Lettuce Cups and Dry Rubbed St Louis Ribs.

The most interesting comment was how the food items were so different than the usual stuff. One woman ran into the kitchen demanding to know how the shrimp were made (40 people ate 115 of them). Many others were very interested in learning about the ingredients or elements that added the unique flavors.

The host wrote a note stating:

“I think your Party Food was a huge success, everyone was intrigued and thought it was delicious. I felt quite proud of all your displays and serving platters”.

We are “Fine Cuisines” because our thinking is about quality ingredients and inventive combinations of flavors. Our oregano is either Greek or Mexican from Atlantic Spice Company (along with many other herbs). Grits are Yellow Corn Stone Ground Grits from Anson Mills in the Carolinas because they are not the usual white porridge you get in most places. Shrimps are 15-20 in size. Avocado, fresh crab, lime juice and mint are the only things needed for a perfect explosion of crab-centric taste. The best ingredients are the only way we can come up with these unique tastes.

We pride ourselves in getting these responses from the patrons of every party. Distinctive Affairs and the Brunch Bunch are the catering arms of Fine Cuisines and we look forward to creating unique tastes that are “not the usual stuff”.
