Home Builders Cocktail Party @ Manny’s Appliance

The Home Builders Association of Western Mass attended a GE sponsored event at Manny’s Appliance Wilbraham store in March. GE Monogram had installed new “working kitchens” in the showroom of that store. They asked us at Distinctive Affairs to provide the food.

Guests enthusiastically enjoyed Pimiento Cheese on Rosemary-Garlic Crisps, Italian Shrimp Cocktail, Chicken Salad in Lettuce Cups, Smoked-Pulled Pork mini bites….and PIZZA.

We sautéed on the new Monogram Convection cooktop and warmed the pork in the Monogram Smart Oven. But the hit of the show was the new “In-Home Pizza Oven”. GE’s latest invention for the home cook heats to 1300 degrees in 20 minutes. We programmed it to mere 900° and each pizza cooked through in 4 minutes. Shockingly great pizza crust. As good as any professional oven. Even though we were fast on the cooking cycle, each pizza disappeared in about 1 minute once presented on the wooden cutting boards display. One of us rolled dough and assembled, the other simply manned the oven. They couldn’t get enough.
